Review Guidelines

Our Review Philosophy

At Privacy Registry, we believe that honest, thoughtful reviews help everyone make better decisions about privacy-focused tools. Your review could help someone take an important step towards protecting their digital privacy.

What Makes a Great Review

Be Specific

  • Describe particular features you liked or found lacking
  • Share specific scenarios where the tool helped you
  • Mention any learning curve or setup challenges

Share Your Context

  • How long have you been using the tool?
  • What did you switch from (if applicable)?
  • What’s your use case (personal, business, family)?

Be Balanced

  • Mention both pros and cons
  • No tool is perfect - honest criticism helps everyone
  • Acknowledge that different tools suit different needs

What’s Not Allowed

To maintain a helpful community, we don’t allow:

Spam or Promotional Content

Reviews must be genuine experiences, not advertisements. Don’t include referral links, promotional codes, or affiliate content.

Hate Speech or Personal Attacks

Keep feedback respectful and constructive. Criticism should be about the product, not people.

False or Misleading Information

Be honest about your experience. Don’t make claims you can’t support.

Private Information

Don’t share personal information about yourself or others (email addresses, phone numbers, etc.).

Off-Topic Content

Reviews should focus on the tool being reviewed. Unrelated commentary will be removed.

Verification Process

When you submit a review, we’ll send a verification email to the address you provide. This helps us ensure that reviews come from real users. Your email is never displayed publicly.

Reviews must be verified within 48 hours of submission. Unverified reviews are automatically deleted after 7 days.

Moderation

We review all submissions to ensure they meet these guidelines. Reviews that violate our guidelines may be removed without notice. In serious cases, repeated violations may result in your email being blocked from future submissions.
